Lesson Plan 3.

 

TITLE : Letter Name Game

SUBJECT AREA CONTENT : Any

 

GRADE LEVEL : Beginner Intermediate

 

TIME FRAME : 10 ~ 15 minutes

 

OBJECTIVES :

 

1. learn to pronounce and spell each others' names

 

2. get aquainted with each other

 

PROCEDURES:

 

1. Each student receives a strip of paper.

 

2. Students walk around the class and find out the names of their classmates, writing down their classmates' names if the names have a given letter in the spelling.

 

MATERIALS :


The teacher should make a copy of the page below and cut it into strips. Each student will need one strip.

 

Rule :

 

Students cannot ask a person specifically about a letter in his/her name. Students must ask about the whole name.

 

 Comments :

 

For a pronunciation class, a sound can be substituted for a letter.

 

1. Find out how many people in the class have the letter 'm' in their name.

 

2. Find out how many people in the class have the letter 'e' in their name.

 

3. Find out how many people in the class have the letter 'w' in their name.

 

4. Find out how many people in the class have the letter 'o' in their name.

 

5. Find out how many people in the class have the letter 't' in their name.

 

6. Find out how many people in the class have the letter 's' in their name.

 

7. Find out how many people in the class have the letter 'a' in their name.

 

8. Find out how many people in the class have the letter 'i' in their name.

 

9. Find out how many people in the class have the letter 'j' in their name.

 

10. Find out how many people in the class have the letter 'r' in their name.

 

11. Find out how many people in the class have the letter 'c' in their name.

 

12. Find out how many people in the class have the letter 'h' in their name.
